FamiliesRock! Antones featuring the hard rock band Anagen with an early rock show especially for Families with kids on November 11, 2006 from 5pm to 7pm.

FamiliesRock! is Austin’s Rock n Roll online resource (FamiliesRock.com) listing shows and events that Families can ‘get in’. FamiliesRock! has arranged this early rock show with the legendary Austin club, Antones, with special pricing for Families ~ $5 each for parents, kids, and teens ~ $10 for parentless teens and childless adults. FamiliesRock! showcases professional musicians and touring bands for Families that are ready to experience a harder and more mainstream music scene together without the late nights, drunken crowds, and typical bar room mentality. Just good, clean fun with a Rock n Roll spin!

Anagen has drilled an indelible niche into the Texas music scene, blending guttural melodies, crashing rhythms, and jaw-dropping guitar solos. Through their high-energy, overwhelming performances, Anagen has earned sharing the stage with legendary bands including Warrant, Skid Row, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Soul Asylum, Faktion, Slave to the System, Copeland, Molly Hatchet, Double Trouble, Jars of Clay, George Lynch, Fastball, and Dexter Freebish. To put it simply, Anagen is everyman's music. Sean Claes of INsite Magazine defined their sound as "Bon Jovi meets Velvet Revolver."

In May 2005 the band released its debut album, Long Way Still, to excellent reviews. The self-produced album, mixed and mastered by Mark Hallman (Eric Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Ani DiFranco) at The Congress House Studio, is a ten-song, tour de force of power-chord rock. Their single "Fall" is on rotation at Austin's 93.7 KLBJ and is generating sensational reviews.

The founders of FamiliesRock!, the barenakedfamily.com, traded their possessions to take back their Family back in May 2001 resulting in FamiliesRock! projects. The mission of FamiliesRock! is to help provide opportunities for Families with kids to connect through the relevance of mainstream music. FamiliesRock! is currently working with Families nationwide to expand the resource and events.
